The Best Overnight Oats Recipe
So, you probably have seen and maybe even tried overnight oats recipes. It is a great way to prep ahead for a quick morning breakfast. If you are like me, you tried very hard to love overnight oats, but for one reason or another, never quite felt motivated to make it often.
That is why I am here now, to change your overnight oat recipe game forever! No matter how many overnight oats I’ve made, nothing comes close to my chocolate overnight oats recipe. I have made it so many times over again, and anytime I change it up, the whole family keeps requesting I go back to my classic overnight oat recipe. It is that good! It is such a hit, I put it in my book Ripsy’s Recipes.
Now I genuinely want to share a glimpse of my recipe book here, because I am convinced you will love it as much as my family and I do.These overnight oats are very filling and will keep me satiated for hours.
When making overnight oats, I have learned to use a decent size jar to allow room for that oats to expand and not spill. For this I am using a 16.9 ounce weck jar. They are so versatile! I love these jars! 4.2 and 8 ounce jars will also work for this recipe, but I would recommend 8 ounces or larger. Putting the clasps on the weck jars can be tricky at first, but once you practice a few times, it becomes very intuitive.
If you love chocolate and peanut butter
This recipe is for those who love peanut butter and chocolate. Speaking of chocolate, it’s important to use good quality cacao powder and not cocoa powder. Cocoa powder is heavily processed with sugar and additives and its source of origin is questionable.
Additionally, cacao is not heavily processed and is mineral rich with magnesium, calcium, and iron and does not have additives or sugar. Cacao is one of those foods that can be tainted with heavy metals, so I will go above and beyond to find and use high quality single source origin organic cacao. Another cacao brand I like using is this one.
Feel free to double or triple this recipe like I do! I hope you give this recipe a try and please tell me your thoughts when you do!
