With fresh cranberries stocked up at every grocery store, we can not bypass the opportunity to enjoy this incredible fruit filled with tons of healthy vitamins!
Health benefits of cranberries. Cranberries are believed to have many healthy benefits for your body. Some of these benefits are they decrease inflammation, prevent and assist with urinary tract infections, improves heart health, increases the HDL (beneficial cholesterol), and helps reduce bloating.
This Christmas punch recipe uses fresh cranberries. I have not tried making this with frozen cranberries. We will be using very few ingredients for this punch. We will be using fresh cranberries, blueberries, 1 apple, sugar, water, and 1 orange, that’s it! I love the simplicity of this recipe and most of all, the taste! It really does taste like Christmas in a cup!
Can I Make This Without Sugar?
I have tried making this recipe without any sugar and it was too sour and bitter for my taste. I have not tried using this Christmas punch recipe with alternative sugars. If I had to choose one, I would do maple syrup.
Does this Christmas punch need spices?
As much as I love spices, I deliberately did not add any to it because the flavor combination of the fruit is so wonderful, I did not want to change a thing. You will see though, that it still tastes like a perfect Christmas punch.
Can you drink this Christmas punch while it’s warm?
Absolutely, you can drink it warm the way you would drink an herbal tea, or you can refrigerate it and drink it cool, which is how I prefer my Christmas punch.
Can I eat the fruit with the Christmas punch?
By all means! You definitely can eat the fruit. The way I like to serve this Christmas punch is by separating the liquid from the fruit. You simple spoon out the fruit onto a serving bowl, and pour the liquid portion onto a carafe or pitcher. That way your family members, and/or guests can have a juice whether to drink the Christmas punch on it’s own, or enjoy it with the fruit.
How long can I store This?
If you are making it for guests, I would suggest making it a day in advance to have time for it to cool in the refrigerator. If you plan on serving it warm you can skip this step. I would store the Christmas punch in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
So let’s get started on this easy and delicious recipe. Feel free to double or triple this recipe. I hope you enjoy it with the people who make you feel the happiest.
