Easy Asian Stir Fry Recipe

Get ready to be introduced to the the most delicious Asian Stir fry with Chicken and broccoli! This Asian stir fry with chicken is easy to put together, flavorful, and delicious weeknight meal dinner, and is packed with fresh, healthy spices! This Asian stir fry recipe has become a part of our regular dinner rotation. I’ve made it so many times and perfected it so that you can make it too!

I like to use rice as a side dish for this stir fry. It complements this Asian stir fry perfectly! I like to let the rice soak in water prior to making this dish, then when I am ready to make the stir fry, I rinse the rice enough times until the water runs clear. I have been enjoying this Dunnar rice lately. You can use your favorite broth to make the rice, or plain water. I used plain water, salt and about a tbsp of olive oil.

Key Ingredient for Stir Fry Sauce

One of the ingredients to make the Asian stir fry sauce for this recipe is tamari. If you’ve never heard of tamari, it is just a healthier version of soy sauce. The difference between tamari and soy sauce is that tamari does not have wheat and soy sauce does. If you are sensitive to wheat, tamari is a better choice. Another reason I choose to use tamari instead of soy sauce is because the wheat that is used in soy sauce is most likely tainted with glyphosate. Glyphosate is a brutal pesticide and a known carcinogen, and although impossible to completely avoid, I try my best to limit it.

I used to think that tamari and soy sauce varied in taste, and that soy sauce tasted so much better, but honestly, that was just because that was the habit I used to be comfortable with. Sometimes changing habits and mentality come hand in hand. After I swapped tamari, I hardly noticed any difference in taste and flavor. I actually prefer the taste of tamari it now.

Is Asian Stir Fry Gluten Free?

The chicken does get coated in flour for this stir fry recipe. If you want to be completely gluten-free, you can substitute it with organic cornstarch. Organic is my preference and recommendation since corn is also heavily sprayed with glyphosate.

Lastly, we will be steaming broccoli separately, so feel free to steam it to the texture of your liking. Some like it extra crunchy, while others like broccoli to be softer. My personal preference is somewhere in between.
